Urleben consists of Grossurleben and Kleinurleben (meaning large.. and small..) in spite of the fact that both parts are of approximately the same size with about 250 inhabitants each.

The Strasse der Einheit (Unity Road) links Gross- and Kleinurleben and had this name even in the times when Thüringen belonged to the GDR.
